Day 10 of June 2012 Sketch-a-Day
Tintin and Captain Haddock (and Snowy).
Chosen by myself.

good two friends

have teamed up with me as we take turns and pick a subject from day to day and sketch a piece everyday.

i will admit that i had a hidden agenda in choosing this subject. on my dA account when i reached 100 watchers i promised that person a picture of their choice for them. the person chose Tintin and the Captain here. this was back in Dec of last year (right before the movie came out)... its been awhile and i still havent drawn it... but now i have. go me! that said i really did like the Tintin movie. just good fun adventure.

hit "FAV" if you like. it helps me stay motivated to make the best i can do for these sketch a day's.

well i didn't have that in mind when i drew it. if that's what you see then thats your perogative. i didnt know you couldn't put your arm around someone of the same sex without looking gay. its funny you say that though. cause as i was looking for Tintin groups to submit this to, one of the groups was a homosexual themed tintin and haddock group. so there is that.

If that's not what you had in mind, then my deepest apologies to you. I don't usually see that sort of thing in art and I'm not gay myself. Perhaps it's the result of seeing too much yaoi reworkings of classic characters on dA of late that I've become kind of wary. As the co-founder of a Tintin tribute group, I tend to get upset when people do that sort of stuff instead of respecting the characters' integrity... Sorry again, and keep up the good work!
